My name is Judit Elena Østern Lien, and Just Film is my small creative space.

I’m a Norwegian-Finnish filmmaker with an MA in Film Directing and Screenwriting from Raindance Film School, and a BA in Film and Video Production from NTNU, including an exchange semester at California State University, Monterey Bay. I’m currently pursuing an MA in Film Directing at the Norwegian Film School.

My main focus is fiction screenwriting and directing, but I also work across music videos and documentaries. I’m drawn to personal stories rooted in very specific lives and places, while carrying universally recognisable feelings about how we affect and are affected by one another. Within this, I’m particularly interested in the meeting between generations, the inner lives of characters, and the complexities of human connection.
